Fundraiser with Focus for Good

Our first fundraiser took place on January 11th, 2025, when we collaborated with an organization called Focus for Good to take these pictures. We sold frosted sugar cookies, an Indian sweet known as "Gulab Jamun," and hot chocolate at "Chandni Chowk," located in Fremont, California.  All of our profits went toward future donations and building our organization to create more widespread impact . We raised $500+ dollars.

Beyond the Diagnosis: Podcast

Ongoing!

To build a stronger and more connected autism community, Humanities in Focus has begun the Beyond the Diagnosis podcast. We hope to shed light on the struggles that neurodivergent individuals face through the firsthand experiences and perspectives of various people! We invite all sorts of guest speakers including those directly affected by autism, autism specialists, court advocates, etc. → really anyone who would like to spread a good message about autism awareness and make measurable impact!

Fundraiser @ The Indian Community Center Aerial Drone Event

Our second fundraiser took place on March 1st, 2025, when we collaborated with the Fremont ICC's Aerial Drone Competition. Through spreading our mission of autism advocacy and selling 3D printed keychains (thanks to our engineering team + Naman Chitlur), yummy snacks, and warm drinks, we were able to have a great and impactful time at the event!

Volunteering at Morgan Autism Center's Annual Starry Starry Night Gala

Our team had an amazing night volunteering at Morgan Autism Center, one of our significant partnership organizations, for their largest fundraiser of the year. The event was dedicated toward building their dream campus 2.0 in order to accommodate more autistic students on their campus!! We were so grateful to be able to share this experience with all of the great members at Morgan Autism Center, and for all our officers/volunteers that showed up, as well! 🌟We can't wait to come back in 2026!

Inclusivity Event: MSJ Best Buddies X HIF

This past September was extremely special to us as we collaborated with Mission San Jose’s Best Buddies Club. Together, we hosted a fun and inclusive event with a group of amazing students of diverse abilities from MSJ high school. Through cookie decorating, sharing stories over yummy food, and having fun on the playground, we were able to make so many meaningful connections with this special group. We want to thank all the students, volunteers, and teachers for making this possible and for allowing us to create such warm memories and make so many new friends. We hope to collaborate again in 2026! 💙
